This activity has been designed by us the Young Guns Opal Mining Crew!
We have created this opal dig in the hopes of being able to share with people the experience of what it is like to dig opal out of the ground and uncover it!
This activity we hope will keep the kids occupied for hours. Though we must also admit it’s quite a satisfying and fun way to pass some time.
This kit includes opal from:
White Cliffs the first commercial opal field in the world.

We recommend this activity for children over 7 years of age or while being supervised by a parent or guardian.
The kit comes with wooden safety tools. A screwdriver can also be use to good effect to help speed up the excavation process.
If you are still struggling we suggest soaking the Opal Excavation in water for 20mins!
This rock and crystal dig playset is a great way to help your children learn how rocks and minerals are formed. Excavate and identify gemstones and minerals, test for hardness and streak whilst having fun with an archaeological dig.

~ 11cm x 7cm block to excavate
~ Wooden hammer (approx. 20cm long) and
~ a Chisel to dig out your treasures.

Can I See The Price List Before Signing Up?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide that to non-wholesale customers. However, once you an approved business/individual this information will be provided.
How can I apply?
Please email us information about your business, selling platforms and or bricks and motor stores. We will carefully review and respond to approved applicants. We reserve the right to deny and approve applications based on the best fit for Global Gumnuts and Nursery branding, and also discontinue wholesaling to any businesses who are found to not adhere to any of the listed terms and conditions.

Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we only ship to Australia.
How can I purchase if my business is outside of Australia?
If you are interested in exporting, we recommend you use a freight forwarder. Any freight forwarder of your choice can be used, as long as they have a location in Australia. We will be unable to assume responsibility for the products once they reach the freight fowarding system. This means that if they are damaged in transit or you wish to return the items once you have received them, we will be unable to assist you.
I want to try a product first before purchasing. How can I sample?
Unfortunately, we do not offer samples at this time. Instead, we recommend purchasing a smaller pack size to test what you think.
